Get in ''tune'': Watch your favorite musical guest stars on Dabl on Monday, February 16
Usually, we tell our viewers to "get into it," but on Monday, February 16, we're telling you all to "get in tune." Dabl is celebrating all things music with a day full of musical guest star episodes.
Shows from the '90s and early '00s were known for featuring the biggest names in music, and we have all the hits. From Snoop Dogg and Biggie Smalls' separate appearances on Martin to Mary J. Blige and Ron Isley as a father-daughter duo on The Jamie Foxx Show, En Vogue on The Wayans Bros., Erykah Badu on Girlfriends and more, we're about to have a full jam session.
These iconic musical figures appeared mainly as themselves, with a few stepping into their "acting bag" to portray a character, like Lil Kim's role on Moesha. After that, she would go on to appear as herself on The Game.
The fun continues all day, followed by the television premiere of the NAACP-nominated documentary Who in the Hell is Regina Jones? at 8P | 7C. It follows Regina Jones, a pioneering publisher and journalist who founded SOUL, the first newspaper to highlight Black musicians. From interviewing Aretha Franklin to the Jackson Five, Donna Summer and more, Jones became a media trailblazer.
